In 2017, 15 of my feature pieces on books, music, and film were published, in addition to a smattering of reviews of releases from those same media. Some highlights included two instances in which I interviewed the artists behind new works in music and film, and a book that was published which includes a segment written by me.
For the It's Psychedelic, Baby blog I interviewed DJ and music archivist Sheila Burgel about the compilation she put together: Honeybeat: Groovy 60s Girl-Pop.

For Macmillan Publishing's Criminal Element blog, I interviewed filmmaker Anna Biller about her release The Love Witch.

Late in the year, the book Girl Gangs, Biker Boys, and Real Cool Cats: Pulp Fiction and Youth Culture 1950 to 1980 was published. My feature piece on the work and life of beatnik-era author John Trinian is included in the anthology.

Over the course of the year I wrote a series of page to screen articles for Criminal Element, comparing acclaimed movies to the novels on which they're based.

Finally, I reviewed a variety of music, book, and film releases, including Tom Mes's new book on Japanese actress and singer Meiko Kaji, and Criterion Collection's deluxe edition of D.A. Pennebaker's documentary film of the Monterey Pop music festival.
